Couria Creek is a truly unique and stunning
property, comprising 36 tranquil acres
of pastures and bushland nestled in the
foothills of Gulaga/Mt Dromedary at Tilba
Tilba on the Far South Coast of NSW.
Drifts of magnificent tree ferns line
the approach to Couria Creek and tall
ironbarks stand atop the ridge. Tracts
of eucalypt forest remain and feature
prominently along the hills and valleys.
Guests are invited to wander the property
at will, meander along the creek while
the bellbirds flit overhead.
Couria Creek is also a birdwatcher’s
paradise, with over 95
species observed from tiny Wrens and
Thornbills to majestic Wedge-tailed Eagles.
Wildlife is plentiful with possums, kangaroos,
wallabies, echidnas and goannas often
seen around the property.
There is also the rural aspect of the
property to enjoy. Our inquisitive and
gentle alpacas are a constant source of
amusement, and spending time in the paddocks
with them is interesting and rewarding.
Friendly donkeys’ ‘Chocolate’
and ‘Coffee’ are a couple
of characters too. Our geese, ducks and
chooks are very entertaining and guests
are welcome to join in at feed time and
meet all the animals.
Summercloud Cottage offers guests an opportunity
to experience the very special property
of Couria Creek, be it for just a few
days or an extended stay. |
