Couria Creek is a paradise for birdwatchers. The plethora of bird life that the property sustains is truly amazing with over 95 species observed, from delicate Silvereyes and Wrens, colourful Rainbow Lorikeets and King Parrots, through to magnificent White-bellied Sea Eagles.

For the avid bird observer, Autumn, Winter and Spring are the best seasons to visit Couria Creek, with a high proportion of the birds listed frequenting the property. In the warmer months some species seek the cool of Gulaga/Mt Dromedary, but nevertheless bird life is still plentiful during this time.

Nearby visit Wallaga, Corunna and Nangudga Lakes, also rivers and estuaries, where wetland and coastal bird species abound.
